Thugar and His Angry Sister

I made some money servicing locals. And after making my tithe to Set, felt the need to reward myself with a new dress.

In the shop, I struck up a conversation with a guard by the name of Thugar. He was new to Khemi, and did not know the sites, so I showed him a few of my favourite places. Eventually, we arrived on top of The Serpent's Head, where his sister shouted at him for risking life and limb. Unfortunately her anger was such that she ignored my attempts at friendship. I have a feeling that they share a more intimate relationship than the average brother and sister.

After the Serpent's Head, we went swimming on the beach, where we met Jagatai. I was racing Jagatai, when Makayla saw our frolicking, and gave me yet another tongue lashing. I wasn't sure how to react, as it is not the place of a former slave, to fight with a Stygian lady.

The following is what I remember of that evening... it begins after we'd met Thugar's sister.

[Thugar] Aye, she has always been the worrying little sister.
[Misnaefus] *looks from Johanne to Thugar* You don't look like brother and sister
[Thugar] Same mother, different father.
[Misnaefus] *grins* Or perhaps why you didn't pounce on me?
[Thugar] Huh?
[Misnaefus] houts: WAVES at Imoteph
[Thugar] Pounce on you?
[Misnaefus] *giggles*
[Misnaefus] We can see the mainland from here. But foreigners are not allowed
[Misnaefus] I only went a few times, when I was a slave.
[Thugar] Aye, shame really. Would be nice to see how it is there.
[Johanne] houts: Get down! *she almost begs*
[Thugar] houts: Go enjoy yourself sis. I will be alright!
[Misnaefus] It's a vile place. The nobles look down on everyone as if they were vermin.
[Johanne] houts: you are such a jerk, and a meanie, and you..you.. mh.. *she eyes him, her eyes narrows, they shine of light..*
[Misnaefus] I'm glad that I was a slave, and kept mostly from sight.
[Thugar] A nice miss like you slaved? Thats wrong.
[Thugar] houts: I know I am sis!
[Misnaefus] Yes. It was. I was used for fifteen winters, before I made a pact with Set, and was freed.
[Misnaefus] Anyway, let's go to the beach
[Misnaefus] ouch!
[Johanne] houts: i hope you fall! Meanie..
[Thugar] *jumps on the palm tree and slides down*
[Johanne] *she eyes the woman, her eyes widens*
[Misnaefus] *smiles at Johanne* Nice to meat you, sister of Thugar.
[Johanne] mh.. *she steps back one step*
[Thugar] She is showing me around, as I'm not that familiar with his place.
[Misnaefus] *looks worried* Is something wrong with me?
[Johanne] Mitras Blessings.. *eyes the girl, and smiles faintly*
[Misnaefus] *looks at Thugar* Is something wrong with me?
[Johanne] *attempts to take up a small rock from the ground, then stand, and throw it at Thugar*
[Thugar] Hey! What was that for?
[Johanne] your mean!
[Thugar] I love you too sis.
[Johanne] *pushes him away*
[Johanne] hmpf
[Thugar] You need to learn to relax at times.
[Johanne] and who is that..?
[Johanne] your girlfriend..? *she grins*
[Thugar] Someone I met here, as I said, she is simply showing me around the city.
[Johanne] if i need to relax, you need to stop acting mean against me.. and do those stupid things you do
[Thugar] And what I have done now?
[Thugar] How have I been mean?
[Johanne] you dont listen to me, ever!
[Thugar] I do listen to you when your not nagging.
[Johanne] *she stamps her feet in the ground, like a stubborn child*
[Thugar] Now, I think my guide wants to continue the tour. *he smiles at Johanne*
[Johanne] im conserned about you, i dont nag
[Misnaefus] *runs her hand down Thugar's arm, admiring the firm muscles* Would you like to visit the beach? You sister could come too.
[Thugar] So, you want to join us Johanne?
[Johanne] so you can sit and touch her..? *points at Misnaefus*
[Johanne] i think not..
[Thugar] Well, we will go together then. *smiles*
[Misnaefus] *smiles at Johanne, if a friendly way*
[Johanne] farewell..
[Johanne] *Stamps inside the inn*
[Thugar] So, the beach?
[Misnaefus] She's quite a fiesty one!
[Thugar] Aye, she is.
[Misnaefus] *whispers* Are you sure she's your sister?
[Thugar] Stepsister.
[Thugar] Aye, a nice beach.
[Misnaefus] This beach can be quite romantic when the sun sets.
[Thugar] I had short trip to.. what is the town.. Caravanserai?
[Misnaefus] In Khospepf province?
[Thugar] And Bubshur... Aye.
[Thugar] Those beaches were nice aswell. Shame I was on duty then, didn't have time to look around much.
[Misnaefus] Vile places *shudders*
[Misnaefus] The have more beauty than this beach. BUt I never feel safe there
[Thugar] *sits down slowly* I guess.
[Misnaefus] So... what do you do when off duty?
[Thugar] Relax. *chuckles*
[Misnaefus] Other than your sister, is there anyone special in your life?
[Thugar] Nah, don't have time for that.
[Misnaefus] You must have a fine lady in every town that you visit?
[Thugar] Not really, usually I end up drinking alone in the local tavern. *chuckles*
[Misnaefus] That is sad. There are often friendly folk in the Serpent's Head; Though some of the ladies can have sharp tongues
[Thugar] Well, I enjoy being alone.
[Misnaefus] So do I, on occasion. But no man can be an island....
[Thugar] *chuckles* Well, I'm sure someone is going to swim by in time.
[Misnaefus] Would you like to go for a swim?
[Thugar] Hmm.. well, can't really.
[Misnaefus] Scared of water?
[Thugar] Ever tried swimming in full armor? *looks at her*
[Misnaefus] There's no one here to steal your armour. JUst leave it on the beach. I'll ask Sinmophytys to look over it
[Misnaefus] *looks at Sin* Please look after our clothes, good sir
[Misnaefus] The water is nice and cool!
[Jagatai] whoa!
[Misnaefus] *smiles at Jagatai* Hello friend
[Jagatai] oh hello ..Misnaefus!
[Jagatai] *swims a bit away*
[Jagatai] how..are you?
[Misnaefus] I am well. Enjoying a swim. you?
[Jagatai] me too! a very hot day
[Misnaefus] I have not seen you swim here before. Are you a regular here?
[Jagatai] me?
[Jagatai] ph well usually yes..but not when it's so crowded
[Misnaefus] Yes, you Lord Jagatia. Oh, this is is Thugar. He's new in town and I'm showing him around.
[Jagatai] *grins* are you...working? *nods at the man swimming*
[Jagatai] ah i see!
[Misnaefus] Thugar, this is Jagatai, he's a man I met in the Inn
[Jagatai] Well..welcome to Khemi!
[Misnaefus] *blushes* No, I'm not working. Thugar has a VERY fond sister. *giggles*
[Thugar] Thank you lass. Damn the water feels good after wearing armor for days...
[Thugar] *lad

[Jagatai] (8 no worries))
[Jagatai] he has a FOND sister?
[Misnaefus] *smiles at Thugar* Aren't you concerned the water may wash away your manly smell?
[Jagatai] *grins*
[Thugar] *chuckles* She is over protecting.
[Jagatai] ah i see *grins* what a grim fate
[Thugar] I hope the water washes my manly smell away.
[Jagatai] *chuckles*
[Misnaefus] *grins at Jagatia, with a conspiracy like look on her face* She took one look at me and hated me. How many sisters want to keep good looking ladies away from their brotehrs?
[Jagatai] *grins* ah..women's rivalry knows no bounds i am afraid
[Jagatai] besides...
[Jagatai] it all depends on first impression
[Misnaefus] But what rival am I? *swims a bit further out*
[Jagatai] does not matter!
[Thugar] Rival of my attention maybe?
[Misnaefus] She saw me showing Thugar the sights of Khemi, and we climbed onto the Serpernts head's roof
[Jagatai] well did youinvite her to join you two?
[Misnaefus] What sort of sister would deny her brother a little adventure?
[Misnaefus] Are you well?
[Thugar] Aye.
[Misnaefus] YOu suddenly left....
[Thugar] *tries to twist his hair dry*
[Thugar] *chuckles* I'm not that good with water.
[Misnaefus] Well, I'm still not done. So please come back in when you're ready
[Jagatai] *grins*
[Misnaefus] Are you trying to seduce me with that pose?
[Jagatai] what??
[Jagatai] oh Misnaefus *grins*
[Jagatai] you think i would seduce you?
[Thugar] *he silently and slowly ties his ponytail back after drying his hair as well as possible*
[Misnaefus] you look like a man with copper in his belt.
[Jagatai] ah that's the trick *grins*
[Misnaefus] Come back in the water
[Jagatai] *chuckles* you look too dangerous
[Jagatai] here..happy? *smiles*
[Misnaefus] *smiles*
[Misnaefus] Thugar?
[Misnaefus] I'll race you to that boat!
[Jagatai] ah you won!!
[Misnaefus] *giggles* I cheated slightly
[Jagatai] very womanlike of you *grins*
[Jagatai] but a win is a win!
[Misnaefus] To that pier? In three seconds?

[Jagatai] *chuckles*
[Jagatai] you are just too fast!
[Misnaefus] You swim well. Are you going to enter the race?
[Jagatai] a race?
[Makayla] Just one moment...
[Makayla] Jagatai?
[Jagatai] oh Makayla!!!
[Misnaefus] *smiles at Makayla*
[Jagatai] *looks utterly surprised*
[Makayla] Careful not to catch any deceases of that slut
[Jagatai] h-how are you?
[Jagatai] it is NOT how it looks!
[Jagatai] i was just swimming!!
[Makayla] *nods smiling* That's fine then. I'm quite fine though... a bit busy myself *winks*
[Jagatai] ah...*grins*
[Jagatai] i assure you..i was not...well you know..
[Jagatai] you look great by the way *smiles*
[Makayla] Oh I trust you fully there. And thank you
[Jagatai] always elegant.
[Jagatai] *nods gratefully*
[Makayla] I do what I can!
[Jagatai] you do good*smiles*
[Jagatai] so..busy day?
[Makayla] Pleasantly busy, yes *smiles back over her shoulder at Misneathas briefly*
[Jagatai] ah....*blushes a bit smiling*
[Jagatai] I..understand *waves hello at Misneathas*
[Misnaefus] *dries her hair, trying not to admire Jagatai's arm ring*
[Jagatai] she's quite silent *smiles at her*
[Jagatai] have you seen Cyhl today?
[Makayla] But yes, that...woman...here seems eager to make futile attempts to flirt up about just anyone here in Khemi. Fortunately she has the success of a sack potatoes
[Jagatai] *tries to hold back a chuckle*
[Makayla] *shakes her head* sadly not. There is something you, her and me should talk about together soon
[Jagatai] *clears throat* we do?
[Misnaefus] *smiles at Makayla* Set looks after me M'Lady. He is kind
[Makayla] Nothing bad, no worries
[Jagatai] *grins relieved*
[Makayla] *rolls her eyes at Misnaefus words not honouring them with any reply*
[Jagatai] *turns his attention to Misneafus* Set? Kind?
[Jagatai] *rolls eyes*
[Misnaefus] Yes, Set protects me.
[Jagatai] ..sure ...
[Misnaefus] *giggles*
[Jagatai] So Makayla...when you need to talk tome just leave a message at the Serpent
[Jagatai] i have a room there
[Misnaefus] *frowns at Jagatai*
[Jagatai] well..you know. *looks a bit embarassed*
[Makayla] I will *smiles*
[Jagatai] *nods* thank you
[Jagatai] i will let you and...your friend enjoy your time now
[Jagatai] *smiles kindly* i need some wine in large quantity
[Makayla] Ah yes, I would be tempted to get insanely drunk too after spending time with that brat you swam with *smirks*
[Misnaefus] *ignores makayla's words*
[Jagatai] *chuckles* i am not going to get involved in an argument between two women..
[Jagatai] the only result would be my death. *grins*
[Makayla] Wise move *snickers*
[Misnaefus] *eyes Makayla up and down*
[Jagatai] stronbg surivival instincts *winks*
[Makayla] Anyway, a pleasant day to you, Jagatai. And...a not so pleasant one to you, brat *winks at her*
[Misnaefus] *smiles at jagatai, and runs a hand slowly down his chest in a caressing motion*
[Jagatai] Likewise Makayla
[Jagatai] Whoa!
[Jagatai] *steps back*
[Jagatai] no.
[Misnaefus] I was only admiring your necklace
[Jagatai] I told you before Misnaefus. You are cute but no.
[Misnaefus] *giggles*
[Makayla] *breaks out laughing clearly mocking Misnaefus* Oh girl, you truly should work on that
[Jagatai] damn i feel like a hunk of beef now.
[Jagatai] i need to get drunk
[Grothan] "Well well, looks like we have a commotion here." Smirks slightly as he looks around. "Usually this place is empty."
[Misnaefus] *smiles at Grothan* Good day my friend
[Makayla] *winks at Jagatai* She is aiming for the next one now....
[Jagatai] *looks at Makayla mouthing the words "Thank the gods"
[Grothan] Chuckles at Makaylas words before turning back to Misnaefus. "Hail lass."
[Makayla] *struggles not to break out laughing again, nods at Jagatai in agreement*
[Misnaefus] Have you had your big day yet?
[Grothan] "Nay, I'm still looking for a priest or priestess."
[Jagatai] *grins and takes another step back not noticing the pier is finished and falls with his butt in the water*
[Jagatai] DAMN!
[Misnaefus] Any particular priest or priestess? Surely they are plenty?
[Makayla] Eeep! *runs to the edge and peers over it* Are you ok down there?
[Grothan] "Mitran."
[Jagatai] *waves at Makayla with one nad and uses theother to rub his bottom* yeah!
[Jagatai] just landed on my ...natural seat.
[Misnaefus] I have a friend who's a Mitran Priestess. Perhaps I could introduce you?
[Makayla] *grins down at him* Well, from what I have seen it is firm enough to deal with it
[Jagatai] ow
[Grothan] "Maybe someday lass."
[Jagatai] *blushes vividly*
[Jagatai] .....*tries to answer but keeps blushing*
[Grothan] Shrughs slightly. "Well, I'll leave you people alone, you are seeming to have fun here, don't want to spoil it."
[Jagatai] *clears throat*
[Makayla] *grins widely clearly enjoying his reaction* In any case, I have let my friend there waiting way too long already
[Misnaefus] *waves at Jagatai* I must go dry off. I shall see you soon my friend
[Jagatai] yes! yes of course!
[Makayla] We shall talk soon though!
