Karran, of strange religious views

I met a shady Stygian named Karran in The Serpent's Head tavern. He had no interest in any services. And had rather liberal religious views. I am rather tempted to report him to the priests of Set.

[Misnaefus] *glances at Karran*
[Karran] Greetings young one..
[Misnaefus] Young? How old are you?
[Karran] As old as you would like me to be..
[Misnaefus] You age bothers me not. It's what's in your belt that counts
[Karran] Ah, it is as true as you says..
[Misnaefus] Why do you hide by yonder archway, ready to pounce on unsuspecting maidens?
[Karran] Oh not at all young one, that way of thinking is quite rare in these lands..
[Misnaefus] So what's more common? Abducting us and dragging us by the hair?
[Karran] What barbaric thoughs.. Tell me young one, where were you raised to think thoughts like that?
[Misnaefus] I was raised as a slave, by a vile merchant here in khemi
[Karran] I see, unfurtunate indeed..
[Misnaefus] Perhaps, but it brought me closer to Set, and for that I thank him.
[Karran] I see, you are a believer!
[Misnaefus] Yes, Set saved me from my master, while condemning the vile cur to a life of poverty.
[Karran] Quite rare to see among people that share your features..
[Misnaefus] My family deserted me.
[Misnaefus] I endured 15 years of abuse at the hands of the merchant.
[Misnaefus] And my family did nothing. I detest them!
[Karran] Unfortunate indeed.. But be glad the Great Serpent found you young one!
[Misnaefus] Yes, I pray to him daily, and tithe him from my earnings.
[Karran] You are a good person then..
[Misnaefus] Set makes me good.
[Karran] Indeed..
[Misnaefus] *eyes Karran's robe*
[Misnaefus] That is a nice choice of attire.
[Karran] *Laughs* Yes ceveral people have commented it, my robes are awfully like those of the Priesthood..
[Misnaefus] But they are a rare shade of blue. You must have travelled far to aquire such a unique item.
[Karran] My robes were made in my homeland Shem, I was quite fortunate to run into the tailor that made this robe, he was sick and dying and I taught him the basic principles of Set..
[Misnaefus] And what principles are those?
[Sarii] *sarii nods at Amsi and order wine*
[Karran] Oh I am not skilled enough to learn them to an already steady believer *laughs*
[Misnaefus] *giggles* You really are quite coy. I merely serve set with loyalty, and my body.
[Karran] However, he died in peace knowing the Great Serpent would take him in, and he testamented these robes to my name..
[Sarii] *sarii sip her wine and enjoy the quiet inn*
[Karran] But I am always carefull to preach religion to others that allready have a faith..
[Karran] From my point of view faith is something more personal than what the Priesthood wants it to be..
[Misnaefus] *snorts in a disgusted tone* Your preaching is safe here. If you were a real man you'd go preach to Crom's children in Cimeria.
[Karran] I am confused, are you jesting?
[Misnaefus] *giggles* No, I am merely probing to see how manly you are. *eyes Karran up and down*
[Karran] *Smiles* Like I said, I believe faith to be personal and do not believe in turning people away from allready existing beliefs
[Misnaefus] *looks concerned* You appear to have demons around your soul. Would you like me to help you purge them?
[Karran] *Skulks a bit* Set is indeed with you young one.. *Coughs* How come you believe I have demons around my soul?
[Misnaefus] If Set was strong in you, you would not believe in allowing unbelievers their false beliefs. You must have demons close to your soul.
[Karran] *Smiles, clearly relieved* I see.. You are a true product of the Priesthood of Khemi after all..
[Karran] I though you were talking about another matter at first..
[Misnaefus] I am no product of the priesthood. My relationship with set is personal.
[Karran] Of course it is! Do not misunderstand me young one! I merely hinted that your view of others beliefs is slightly narrowed..
[Misnaefus] My views are my own. But it is rather patronising of you to call me young.
[Karran] Are you really annoyed by it? I meant no harm by it at all, merely a gest, i can assure you..
[Misnaefus] No, but it hurts me, as I was cast out by my master due to my age.
[Karran] I see, I meant no harm by it I can assure you, you simply appears as young before my eyes, that is all..
[Misnaefus] Perhaps, but in my profession I am old. After 15 winters of abuse I was cast out, partially due to my age.
[Karran] I understand, my appology for forcing unpleasant memories on you..
[Misnaefus] They make me what I am. But I do not like being reminded
[Karran] Do you mind if I ask you one thing then? To satisfy my habit of always adressing people in one way or another..
[Misnaefus] Ask away...
[Karran] Do you carry a name you like being adressed with? A name you look upon as your own?
[Misnaefus] I am Misnaefas, of No Clan.
[Karran] And is that a name you like being reffered to as?
[Misnaefus] You may call me Mis, or if you become a client, I will be whatever you desire
[Karran] There you go again.. You never have to offer yourself to me like that.. Then Misnaefus it is?
[Misnaefus] Misnaefus, or Mis.
[Misnaefus] By what do your friends address you?
[Karran] Nice to meet you then Misnaefus, I am Karran of Shem, pleased to make your aquientance..
[Karran] *Bows his head as a sign of respect*
[Misnaefus] *inclines her head to Karran* Nice to meet you, Karran of Shem
